Description and cause diphtheria
Description- Diphtheria real name is corynebacterium. It has four different strain (Mitis, Gravis, Intermedious, and Belfanti) Which all cause the same diphtheria. Diphtheria is a potentially fatal, contagious disease that usually involves the nose, throat, and air passages, but may also infect the skin in some cases. 
Cause- When the Corynebacterium travels from one person to another by way a nasal mucus. It is caused by the four strains.
History 
This disease has caused many deaths since BC. Over time it has caused much suffering for many families. The most famous outbreak of diphtheria had occurred in a town in Alaska. Here many children had came down with diphtheria. This town didn't have any antibiotics for diphtheria and the only way into the town was by sled dog. It was called the "Great Race of Mercy". This outbreak was so famous it had gotten its own movie called Balto. Balto was the dog who had broaght the antibiotics the last way to the town after his musher had falling asleep. This had gotten alto a movie and a statue of him. The last recorded outbreak was in Seattle on 1971.
